HOLY SH*T THESE TWO ARE BEAUTIFUL.
Okay, now that we got that out of the way: I seriously felt so inspired during this intimate PNW lifestyle couples shoot with Michelle + Eamon at the Woodlands House in Sandy, Oregon. It got me thinking a lot about how I used to think of engagement shoots — dressing up, frolicking in a field, moving couples through prompts…anddd idk, I love a good frolick, but this quiet, introspective, cozy style of storytelling in a confined space stole my heart. Keep scrolling for some majorrrr engagement shoot/story session inspo. (Pssttt — I’m obsessed w/ elopement couples adding story sessions!!)
Quiet, intimate photos at a cabin in Oregon
GETTING COZY ON THE COUCH
We began the session in the gorgeoussss living room with Eamon + Michelle cuddling on the couch.
DANCING IN THE LIVING ROOM
These two were the freaking cutest dancing in the living room in front of the huge wall of windows overlooking the PNW forest.
HANGING OUT ON THE DECK
We brought the session out to the deck to enjoy the fresh air + break from the rain.
DRAMATIC LIGHTING ON THE STAIRWELL
How gorgeous was this moody light on the stairwell!? Eamon and Michelle are such naturals and just melt into each other, so it was fun to get creative with posing here too.
GETTING STEAMY IN THE HOT TUB
Andddd I’ve seriously never been more obsessed w/ a set of photos than I am with this steamy hot tub session we ended with! Like come ON!!?? Interested in a steamy couples’ boudoir session!? Click here to learn more.
PNW Couples + Engagement Outfit Inspo
Eamon + Michelle wore fairly neutral, complimentary outfits without matching completely — it’s my fave when couples do this! They were comfy for the in-home session while still being stylish, and they brought the steammmm to the hot tub session while still being fairly modest! Here is how you can recreate their looks:
Outfit 1
Michelle wore a cream sweater, baggy jeans, and tall white socks. You can find similar items from Bohme, Urban Outfitters, MadeWell, Free People, and ASOS.
Eamon wore a nice black t-shirt and terracotta pants. You can find similar items from Urban Outfitters, H&M, Everlane, and ASOS.
Outfit 2
Michelle wore a cute white cropped tank top and jeans. You can find similar items from American Eagle and Abercrombie & Fitch.
Eamon wore a black t-shirt and rolled up jeans — you can find similar items from Urban Outfitters, H&M, Everlane, and ASOS.
Swimsuit inspo
Michelle wore a cute black one-piece with cutouts, and you can find similar swimsuits from Aerie, Anthropologie, Alt Swim, and Albion Fit.
Eamon wore teal swim shorts, and you can find similar trunks from LL Bean, Lululemon, and Fair Harbor.
They wrapped each other in the cutesstttt striped towels after they got out of the hot tub! You can find similar towels at Pottery Barn, Target, and Amazon.
