    Choosing Shay was one of the very first — and BEST — decisions we made for our Montana wedding. We originally found her through her YouTube videos and fell in love with the beautiful, intimate elopements she captured. We initially considered eloping ourselves, but decided to take everything we loved about that intimate experience and bring our closest family and friends along, keeping our destination wedding to around 60 people.

    She even helped me find my wedding dress! I fell in love with a dress worn by one of her previous brides in a photo she had taken. Shay graciously reached out to her past client for me, I tracked down the exact dress and ordered it without ever trying it on. It arrived and fit like a glove. Months later, Shay was photographing me wearing the exact dress I had first discovered through her work — such an incredible full-circle moment.

    We chose her three-day photography and videography package, and it was worth EVERY penny. I am extremely camera shy and hate being the center of attention, so the thought of being photographed and filmed for three days honestly made me nervous. Shay made all of that disappear.     We got married on September 2nd, and Shayna was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! From start to finish, she made everything feel fun, easy, and completely stress-free. Shayna showed us some of the most incredible places in Glacier National Park, and the photos she captured are absolutely breathtaking. She also has such a gift for making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Even during our private vows, she somehow made the moment feel completely intimate and personal despite being there to photograph it.   • Your wedding location is a character in your wedding story as far as I’m concerned, but I just love this world we live in — we don’t need to be in a “crazy” destination for the focus on setting and world building to be a vital part of your wedding story!! It’s all in noticing and appreciating the world around you. The wind, the rustling leaves, the rain, the shadows as they move over the land, all of it. n

  • Nope! Montana doesn’t have sales tax and I include travel costs in all of my packages so you never have to worry about random expenses after you book!!

  • Yes! I specialize in hybrid shooting, and I’m even an educator in the space. :) For elopements, you can often find me solo shooting both mediums —  and I curate badass photo/video teams for our more complicated weddings. 

  • You literally don’t need to worry about this unless you’re eloping and considering solo photo/video coverage haha — For your wedding, I will add as many shooters as necessary depending on the plan. Your photos/videos will be amazing.

  • Multi-day destination coverage is exactly what it sounds like! :) We will do a story-driven couples’ session, I will cover a group activity or rehearsal dinner, and the full wedding day —  butttt every destination wedding is different. Tell me about your vision and unique plan, and I will figure out how to cover it. :) 

  • An engagement session turned into an experience — think your fave date night, a lifestyle session showcasing your home and dogs, or a completely new experience that you’ve always wanted to try in a new place.

  • For multi-day coverage, we will chat about what is important to you when it comes to remembering your wedding experience! If you have a really cool activity planned AND you don’t want to forget your rehearsal dinner, don’t be shy — my goal is ALWAYS to tell the best possible story and to LOVE the final product. I do NOT sell by hours for this exact reason.

  • Of course! I’m going to get to know you really well, learn about what is important to you about your wedding experience, and we'll work together to make a plan that feels really good for you both. 

  • I do nottttt sell by hours so you never need to worry about coverage! We will work together on a timeline that makes sense for you, and you’ll never need to glance at a clock. 

  • Of course!! Listen, everyone feels awkward in front of a camera —  including me!! When I am getting my own photo taken, I love a self-assured photographer/videographer who can work QUICKLY and tell me exactly what to do, and what does and DOESN’T look good! I know what it feels like to feel weird and to have a photographer say nothinggggg. 

    I am big on documenting the day that happens and getting a ton of candid moments, while working in super short pockets of posed photos throughout the day. You don’t want to feel like the whole day is a photo shoot, but you do want plenty of posed images where you feel cool as hell! (Without thinking back on how weird you felt while taking them lmao, none of that will happen with me.) 

  • Yes!! Serving all body types + skin tones is extremely important to me —  I’ve got you!
