In fact, just a few short years ago, my husband and I WERE you.

We were planning a wedding that we didn’t feel connected with, struggling to prioritize the things that actually mattered to our relationship, wondering how the heck to reconcile what we were “supposed” to do with who we actually ARE — people who love the outdoors, laughing way too much with our close-knit group of friends, enjoying moments as they come to be rather than facilitating them.

We are sentimental, NOT traditional. We value making REAL memories, not contrived ones. We seek to explore the world around us and LIVE in it, not just document it.

Meet Shay,

Your Northwest Montana videographer + photographer

Hi, I’m Shayna Lloyd, but everyone calls me Shay – I’m the owner of Montana Diaries, aka your fav Northwest Montana wedding videographer & photographer, and I curate the most badass teams imaginable to help me tell wild, messy, beautiful stories through video & photo. I crave freedom and authenticity, and I KNOW that you do too; the most important part of my job is being the permission slip my couples need to let go of everything that doesn’t feel true to them.

    I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to how INCREDIBLE Shayna is!!??!! SUCH a kind, genuine, hardworking, caring and fun human!! From working together on her podcast, doing a styled photoshoot with her, to having her cover videography for both of our weddings in MT and Spokane WA, Shayna went above and beyond for us in every way and we are forever thankful for her. She is insanely talented and has the perfect eye for capturing love and any story. The way she filmed our highlight reel from both weddings and tied in voiceover from a year prior of us on our engagement shoot was so thoughtful and beyond amazing. She captured our love so well and that video is SO special to us. Shayna is organized, always on time, and never once made me feel stressed or overwhelmed through the entire process. She is easy going, calming, positive, and truly such a fun person to be around.

    You can see her passion for her work in EVERYTHING she does. We will forever be so thankful for Shayna and all she did to help make our weddings the most special days for us.   • I have cried so many times watching the video back because you truly did such an amazing job capturing every moment of our big day!

    Our video and photos are absolutely stunning. We loved that you were able to catch the little looks, comments and gestures that we share regularly. My favorite part of our video was our first look, I didn’t know Brett would have a microphone but I love that I am able to hear his genuine reaction to seeing me as his bride.
